This pivotal role provides advanced microbiological expertise to ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of our products. The ideal candidate will lead and manage comprehensive environmental monitoring initiatives, conduct thorough risk assessments in contamination scenarios, and offer scientific guidance on testing methods. Your extensive knowledge and experience will be critical in driving compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and enhancing our microbiological capabilities through innovative automation / digitalization projects and strategic initiatives. As a recognized expert in the field, you will play a key role in influencing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.Responsibilities

Lead and manage comprehensive environmental monitoring programs for water, gas, and critical classified areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements. Conduct risk assessments related to quality events, analyzing impacts and providing strategic recommendations for effective risk mitigation.Provide scientific guidance on testing methods, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with industry best practices. Write, revise, and review SOPs and departmental protocols/reports proactively. Perform quality reviews for microbiological testing and environmental monitoring data, ensuring accurate trending.Establish and maintain microbiological and contamination control programs, including endotoxin and bioburden testing. Collaborate with management for regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with GMP requirements and acting as a microbiological SME during audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in microbiological processes, enhancing efficiency, data accuracy, and team performance through collaboration and training.Your profile

Master’s degree or PhD in Microbiology or equivalent. Significant experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry within GLP/GMP laboratories. In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to microbiology. Experience in training personnel and managing outsourced activities is preferred.Proven experience in conducting test method validation. Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and SAP. Flexibility and adaptability in a high-growth environment with multiple projects. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.What we offer
