It is a complex domain where engineers own specific components, collaborate closely across the full system and where your design choices have a lasting impact. This is not a ticket-execution role.Main TasksTechnical design of new features and services (end-to-end) in collaboration with the Architecture Team and other Software EngineersRefine and estimate use cases in close collaboration with Business Analysts and the Product OwnerImplement domain and cross-cutting servicesProvide technical leadership and mentoring – raising the team's overall capabilityContribute to technology and tooling decisions for new solutionsRequirements7+ years of hands-on backend experience with Java and Boot in production environmentsStrong grasp of software design: you have opinions about architecture and can articulate them clearlyComfortable with evolving systems – you can navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions and adapt as requirements shiftSolid understanding of REST API design and distributed systems patternsExperience with messaging and event-driven architecturesProactive communicator within the engineering team - you share knowledge and contribute to collective technical growth (we hold regular tech sessions)Kubernetes and container orchestration experience – you understand the deployment side and take end-to-end responsibility of what you buildFluent in English, German or French is a plusOur tech stackJava 25, Boot, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Gradle.What we offer40h / week2 days home office per weekMulticultural teamFree parkingLanguage trainingsFurther informationA stimulating environment helps to find cool solutions to challenging complex requirements.
