Finance Manager, Zug

Our client is a Swiss biopharmaceutical company with an established international presence.

This is a hands‑on Finance Manager position which offers broad exposure across the business. You will work directly with the Managing Director.

You will define and drive the Finance processes, and have real impact from day one. It suits someone who is comfortable with ownership and does not need a large structure around them to be effective.

This is the ideal step for candidates from a Big 4 or audit background moving into industry, or for those already in a comparable SME role.

What you’ll own:

Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, midterm planning, and liquidity forecasting

Drive monthly closing and reporting, including group reporting packages and management reports

Prepare annual financial statements in line with SwissGAap (OR) and IFRS; manage tax responsibilities across all jurisdictions (VAT, corporate income tax, and beyond)

Manage the ERP system (Abacus), oversee invoicing workflows, and release payments via e‑banking

Maintain and develop the Internal Control System (ICS) and coordinate external audits

Support Supply Chain and Commercial on financial matters, collaborate with shareholder finance teams, drive cost efficiency, and deliver ad‑hoc analysis as needed

What you bring - The essentials

Several years of well‑rounded finance and accounting experience, ideally with audit background (Big 4) and/or SME environment

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling; CPA or Swiss Diploma in Accounting&Controlling preferred

Very strong command of Swiss GAAP (OR) and IFRS, including financial statement preparation

Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (Abacus experience is a plus)

Full business fluency in English and German, both written and spoken

Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

A strong advantage

Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry

Background in an international or multi‑entity group structure

Familiarity with shareholder reporting and working alongside investor finance teams
