POSITION: CAFETERIA TEAM MEMBER Status: Hourly Employee

Wage: Hourly, set annually by the board

Benefits: As specified by the board

Work Year/Day: 181 days at 2 to 5.75 hours per day depending on assignment

Supervisor: Head Cook

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Maintain a work climate that is conducive to carrying out the business of the school district in a dignified, orderly, and friendly fashion.

Cooperative in terms of working with other people.

Initiative in terms of going ahead with assigned tasks.

Neatness in appearance and work product.

Skilled in cooking and baking.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Cook and prepare food daily.

Serve on line at lunch time.

Clean up at end of day.

Assist with dishwashing.

Perform other duties assigned by supervision.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

Requires considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.

Must be able to lift and carry supplies, bins, and trays weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to sweep and mop floors.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work in kitchen and dishwashing room is often with high temperature and hot water.

Is subject to burns, scalds, falls, sprains, and cuts.
