Clinical Nurse Specialist– Uro-Oncology Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Leaders in Oncology Care is seeking an experienced Uro‑Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dedicated Cancer Nursing Team on a 12‑month fixed term contract.

As a specialist oncology provider, we deliver personalised, high‑quality cancer services focused on excellent clinical outcomes and outstanding patient experience. Our service provides seamless, coordinated support from initial presentation and diagnosis through treatment and follow‑up, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate and evidence‑based care tailored to their individual needs.

As a Uro‑Oncology CNS you will work closely with inpatient and outpatient teams to provide a high‑quality specialist cancer nursing service throughout the patient pathway. You will act as a key patient advocate, providing expert nursing advice, education and emotional support, helping patients and theirfamilies understand diagnosis, treatment options and ongoing care.

You will collaborate closely with consultants, physicians and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, excellent communication and the best possible patient experience. The role requires strong clinical expertise, advanced communication skills and a patient‑centred approach to care delivery.

What You’ll Bring

NMC Registration

Significant post‑registration experience in an acute hospital setting

Evidence of post‑registration education or qualification relevant to the specialty

Mentoring or teaching experience

Experience managing complex and difficult emotional situations with evidence of Advanced Communication Skills (level 2 course), or willingness to complete the course

Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to the specialty
