Role Overview
The Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team within Sensor and Cartridge Operations at Roche Diagnostics focuses on ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of electrochemical sensors and cartridges, reagents, and fluid packs by bridging the gap between product development and full-scale manufacturing.Responsibilities
You transform raw manufacturing data into actionable intelligence to maintain high-quality product consumable assemblies. Your role involves evaluating and deploying a microscopy-based optical stage to inspect and analyze product components, applying machine‑learning algorithms for automated feature extraction and classification to establish accept/reject criteria before final assembly. You guide work through data analysis, leveraging classical statistics and predictive modeling to correlate imaging features with process parameters and quality. Collaboration and presentation are key; you present analytical findings to multidisciplinary teams (Operations, R&D) to drive data‑backed mitigations for in‑field quality issues, focusing on a critical, high‑priority product care project that solves real‑life issues occurring at customer sites to bring solutions to the market. Qualifications
Completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the last 12months, or currently enrolled in a Master’s program, specializing in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. Technical expertise in Python and its ecosystem, with proficiency in image analysis tools.Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset, acting as an independent worker while also being a dedicated team player. Knowledge of optics and spectroscopy is a plus. Solid foundation in statistical data analysis. Fluent in English; German is a plus. Benefits
