Requirements Engineer– Diagnostic Instruments (Contract)
About the Role We are partnering with a leading global healthcare company to find a
Requirements Engineer
to support the development of next‑generation diagnostic instruments.
You will join an innovative R&D organization focused on near-patient care solutions, contributing to both
software and hardware requirement engineering
across complex medical systems. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in
regulated environments
who enjoys working at the intersection of system engineering, software, and medical technology.
Your Responsibilities
Define and structure
technical requirements
for diagnostic instruments based on business needs, customer inputs, and risk considerations
Apply best practices in requirement engineering, including
EARS (Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax)
Contribute to the development of
requirement engineering strategies and concepts
across system levels
Review and refine requirements and specifications to ensure clarity and compliance
Collaborate closely with
cross‑functional teams
(software, hardware, systems, QA)
Support
test‑related activities
including test case creation, execution, and defect lifecycle tracking
Provide regular
status updates
to project and product leadership
Your Profile
5+ years of experience
across the full product development lifecycle, with strong focus on requirements engineering
Proven background in
regulated environments
(ideally IVD or medical devices)
Solid expertise in
requirements analysis, structuring, and breakdown , including use of ALM tools
Strong understanding of the
V‑model development process
Hands‑on experience with
testing, defect management, and validation activities
Certifications such as
CPRE / IREB, INCOSE, or IIBA (CCBA)
are a plus
Excellent
analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
with attention to detail
Ability to work
autonomously
while engaging effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication skills with a
pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset
Fluent in English and German
Start Date:
ASAP (latest start: 31 August 2026)
Duration:
12 months (extension possible)
Work Model:
Onsite presence preferred (home office negotiable)
