Working Student - Finance&Accounting (approx. 20 hours per …, Zürich (Kreis 11)

Your responsibilities

Support day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time

Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports together with the founders

Assist with accounts payable and receivable– invoicing, payment tracking, supplier reconciliation

Support budget monitoring and variance analysis: flag what's off, suggest why

Help coordinate with our external accountant/Treuhänder and prepare documents for tax and audit processes

Build and maintain Google sheets based reporting templates that give the team financial clarity

Assist with ad hoc financial analyses– profitability by product, channel economics, cost tracking

Help keep our financial processes clean and documented as the company grows

Your profile

Currently enrolled in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics– or equivalent)

Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals (double-entry, basic Swiss GAAP or OR knowledge is a plus)

Strong Google Sheets skills– you're comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and structured data

Precise, reliable, and someone who cares about getting the details right

Able to work independently once you understand the task– you don't need someone checking every step

Fluent in German and English (both used daily)

Bonus: experience with accounting software (Bexio) or Shopify financial reporting. But we'll teach you what you need.

Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to work faster and come prepared with suggestions— not just questions.
