Reinsurance Technical Operations Analyst, Zürich (Kreis 11)

About the role In this role, you will manage an assigned reinsurance portfolio across Proportional and Non‑Proportional business, covering both brokered and direct relationships. You will review, validate, and book Technical Statements of Account and claims in line with contractual terms, closely monitor payables and receivables, and work regularly with brokers, clients, and internal teams such as Underwriting, Claims, and Finance. The role also includes closing activities, data quality checks, reporting, and contributing to selected internal projects.

Your responsibilities

Manage an assigned reinsurance portfolio (Proportional&Non‑Proportional; brokered and direct business)

Review, control, and book Technical Statements of Account in SICS and the General Ledger

Validate coverage and record individual claims (XoL) in line with contractual terms

Monitor, reconcile, and manage reinsurance payables and receivables, including open balances

Actively liaise with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Claims, Finance)

Perform closing activities (monthly, quarterly, yearly), including data quality checks and reporting (Power BI / Excel)

Contribute to internal projects and carry out ad‑hoc or special assignments (e.g. Deputy Credit Control)

Your profile

Three to five years of experience in reinsurance Technical Accounting and/or in Claims Operations/Handling

Fluent in English (written and spoken) German is a plus.

Excellent analytical skills and experience in reporting (Power BI)

Open‑minded, positive person with a roll‑up‑the‑sleeves attitude and high self‑motivation.

Ability to set priorities towards client service

Can‑do approach and eagerness to learn
