We are seeking a highly motivated and independent researcher to advance our understanding of magmatic and volcanic systems. Develop and lead an independent research program in magmatic petrology, volcanology, and/or geochronology. Publish results in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. Present findings at international conferences.Contribute to the teaching of BSc and MSc level courses in petrology and volcanology. Actively participate in the intellectual life of the institute and research group. Profile

A recent PhD in Earth Sciences, with a focus on igneous petrology, volcanology, or geochemistry. A demonstrable ability to conduct and publish high-quality research. Strong analytical skills, particularly with in-situ techniques (e.g., EPMA, LA-ICP-MS, SIMS). Experience in field work, geochronology (e.g., U-Pb, Ar-Ar) and/or numerical modelling of igneous processes.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. German speaking would be an added value. We offer
