to strengthen our trading activities across Day‑Ahead and Intraday markets. This role sits at the core of Alpiq’s flexible asset optimization, with close collaboration between our teams in Lausanne and Olten. Your Responsibilities

Optimize and trade Alpiq's Swiss asset portfolio across European Day‑Ahead and Intraday markets, including the management of cross‑border capacities. Commercialize and optimize Swiss Ancillary services (mFRR, aFRR, FCR) Develop, implement, and execute short-term trading and dispatch strategies to maximize portfolio value (P&L). Actively manage imbalance risk and ensure efficient portfolio balancing across relevant markets. Collaborate closely with colleagues across locations, contributing to a consistent and coordinated trading approach. Participate in a 24/7 shift operation, including nights and weekends. Build expertise across both locations through regular on-site presence in the other location (Lausanne/Olten), especially during the onboarding phase.Your Profile

University degree in Engineering, Energy Economics, or a related field. Strong analytical and coding skills, with a data‑driven mindset. Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to operate in fast‑paced, real‑time environments. First experience in short‑term power markets (Day‑Ahead / Intraday).Understanding of the fundamentals and value drivers of European Day‑Ahead and Intraday markets. Team player with excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across locations. Fluent in English; additional languages (German, French, Italian) are a plus. What We Offer
