Snapbau is an AI SaaS procurement platform built for the construction industry. In under a year, we’ve achieved strong traction in the Swiss market and are entering a phase of rapid scale‑up and international expansion.
We are now looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy as we consolidate our position in Switzerland and prepare for entry into new markets.
The CFO will own financial planning and reporting, capital allocation, cash‑flow management, and support fundraising and investor relations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO and board to ensure disciplined growth and scalable financial operations.
Tasks
Lead Series A fundraising process, including strategy, investor materials, pitching, and ongoing investor relations
Manage capital structure and cap table, including dilution modelling, term sheet evaluation, and equity structuring
Act as finance lead in investor communications, co‑presenting with CEO and handling technical investor diligence
Build and maintain an institutional‑grade data room for VC due diligence
Manage and track SaaS financial metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, LTV:CAC, burn multiple, magic number) and identify areas of optimisation for valuation impact and commercial development
Develop and maintain financial models, including cash‑flow forecasting, scenario planning, and 24+ month runway projections
Oversee finance operations including accounting, tax, compliance, and reporting with a lean operating model
Coordinate external legal counsel across fundraising, IP, contracts, and regulatory compliance
Oversee HR operations including hiring strategy, payroll, ESOP design, and international employment compliance
Requirements Core Experience
Prior experience in a senior finance leadership role in a high‑growth startup or scale‑up environment
Proven track record supporting or leading a Series A (or similar institutional VC round)
Experience operating across finance, legal, and HR functions in a startup context
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑ambiguity environment with high ownership expectations
SaaS&Financial Expertise
Strong expertise in B2B SaaS financial metrics, revenue recognition, and unit economics
Advanced financial modelling skills, including cohort analysis, forecasting, scenario planning, and 3‑statement modelling
Strong FP&A capability (driver‑based budgeting, variance analysis, and runway planning)
Deep understanding of cash‑flow management and burn optimisation in high‑growth environments
Experience with accounting principles relevant to SaaS (e.g. deferred revenue, subscription accounting, IFRS/Swiss OR or equivalent)
Fundraising&Capital Markets
Demonstrated fundraising experience with venture capital investors
Strong understanding of term sheets, equity structures, and cap table dynamics (including dilution and option pool impacts)
Experience building investor‑ready financial models and supporting due diligence processes
Ability to translate financial data into a clear, compelling investor narrative
Technical&Systems Skills
Experience building and maintaining investor‑grade financial models (cash‑flow, valuation, scenario analysis)
