Purpose The Construction Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementation of quality standards during construction activities, driving compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements to deliver safe and reliable Oil&Gas facilities.
Responsibilities
You oversee construction quality activities, ensuring alignment with quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and project requirements.
You coordinate inspections, tests, and verifications with construction teams, subcontractors, and third‑party inspectors.
You identify and manage non‑conformities, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and documented.
You support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and construction method statements.
You contribute to contractor quality performance assessments and proactively support improvements.
You maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality documentation to support traceability and final project dossiers.
You participate in audits and reviews to verify compliance with quality assurance systems and regulatory standards.
You promote a quality culture within the site construction teams, reinforcing expectations through coaching and day‑to‑day interactions.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is a plus.
Multilingual: Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial, especially for international projects with diverse teams.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality management within the Oil&Gas sector.
Strong knowledge of international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), welding, NDT, and materials inspection. Certification in quality (e.g., CSWIP, API, or equivalent) is a plus.
