About the Role At GC, we are looking for a

Global Legal Counsel (f/m/d)

to join our global headquarters in Lucerne.

In this role, you will act as a trusted legal partner to the business, supporting our international operations across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with and report to the General Counsel and contribute to a broad range of legal topics– from commercial contracts to compliance and global legal projects.

This position offers high visibility, international exposure, and long-term development potential within a dynamic global environment. This role offers the opportunity to help shape selected aspects of how a global legal function evolves and innovates within a complex, international organization.

Key Responsibilities Commercial&Contract Law (core)

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (e.g. sales, procurement, services, distribution)

Provide pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual and business matters

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of innovative, scalable contract lifecycle management processes.

Legal Business Partnering

Act as a trusted advisor to HQ functions (e.g. Finance, HR, Supply Chain, R&D)

Translate legal risks into business-oriented recommendations

Support strategic initiatives with legal input, e.g. on intellectual property rights

Global Legal Projects&Governance

Support the development of a global legal organization across regions (EMEA, Americas, APAC, Japan)

Contribute to cross-functional and legal transformation projects (e.g. legal tech tools, CLM systems)

Assist in establishing legal standards, templates and best practices

Compliance&Risk Management

Support and further develop global compliance frameworks (e.g. anti-bribery, data protection, corporate governance)

Advise on GDPR and data privacy-related matters

Contribute to internal policies, training and awareness initiatives

External Counsel&Stakeholder Management

Coordinate and manage external legal advisors

Liaise with authorities, regulators and external stakeholders when required

Support insurance-related legal matters and claims handling

Qualifications

Master of Laws from a Swiss or EU University, preferably admission to the bar in Switzerland, Germany or Austria

3-5 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department

Experience in an international environment; life sciences industry/ medtech experience is a plus

Strong experience in commercial contract law is a must have

Familiarity with compliance topics (e.g. GDPR, anti-bribery)

Fluent in English and German
