Junior Gas Analyst, Lugano

Junior Gas Analyst As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Gas Analyst to join our gas trading desk.

The role involves close interaction with gas traders and plays a key role in providing fundamental and quantitative market analysis to support commercial decision‑making.

Tasks

Daily monitoring of European gas and global LNG fundamentals, including flows, storage, outages, capacities, LNG and vessel tracking, with a critical approach to data quality and reliability

Active contribution to the development and maintenance of internal country stack models

Preparation of fundamental and quantitative analyses, reports, and ad‑hoc studies to support trading activities

Continuous tracking of European gas and global LNG market developments, including news and regulatory changes

Development of price views, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and clear communication of insights to traders

Further development of fundamental and statistical market models and analytical interfaces

Active involvement in the automation and improvement of analytical routines, tools, and processes

Requirements

Strong academic background with a Bachelor/Master’s degree in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or another quantitative discipline

Strong analytical mindset and solid programming (Python, SQL preferable) and Excel skills

Curiosity, open‑minded attitude, and strong communication skills

Motivated team player with an enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning
