The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore in Geneva would like toResearch Officer/TranslatorThe Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore in Geneva would like to invite suitablecandidates to apply for a full-time contract position of a Research Officer/Translator.Research Officer/TranslatorThe expected job responsibilities are as follows:Research Work- Monitor daily local newspapers and media and prepare daily press reports.- Conduct online research and prepare reports where required- Follow local media conferences/media briefings/announcements from the government and international agencies and file reportsTranslation/Interpretation- Translate into English relevant news articles from local and foreign language newspapers for the daily press reports.- Translate incoming mail from French/German into English, and vice-versa where necessary.- Provide interpretation support at meetings and events.Other duties:- Assist in the Mission's events and other administrative tasks when required.- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Applicants should possess the following qualifications:- Good command of English, French and German- University degree with relevant experience.
