Legal Advisor / Legal Counsel– Banking Sector (Temporary …, Geneva

We are looking for a Legal Advisor / Legal Counsel

with 7+ years of professional experience , ideally within the financial industry, to join

a bank at the Geneva office.

The successful candidate will join a small team and should be a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Start:

ASAP or to be defined

Duration:

Temporary assignment of 7–8 months (extension possible)

Work Location:

bank at the Geneva office

Hybrid Model:

3 days onsite / 2 days home office possible

MUST HAVE:

MLaw in Swiss law (formerly lic. Iur.)

7+ years of solid professional experience, ideally within the financial industry

Strong knowledge of Swiss law, particularly in: contractual law, procedural and civil law, debt collection and enforcement, criminal matters

Strong interest in banking and financial law, with initial exposure and developing expertise

Ability to provide practical legal support to business and risk stakeholders in a collaborative and pragmatic environment

Practical experience in legal documentation, including: drafting, reviewing, amending contracts, correspondence and legal submissions, complaints management and dispute handling

Team-oriented, communicative, proactive, and interactive personality

Hands‑on mentality with a pragmatic working style

Language Requirements:

Fluent French and English (minimum C2 level)

Note, it's very important to be able to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders in both languages.
