You will join the Business Computing Group (BC), where 80+ talented international colleagues are responsible for delivering information systems for all of CERN’s business functions. The product‑management driven group is working for clients across the whole Organization (HR, Finance, Planning, Site Management, Purchasing, Logistics, and Accelerator Operations). The type of products under the group’s responsibility ranges from custom‑made solutionsfor a few users to large and widely integrated systems with 15,000+ users. Hence, working for the BC group provides numerous perspectives for being in touch with different technologies and business areas.

Functions Solution

Analyse business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

Develop and maintain business process documentation (using BPMN and specialised business process modelling tools), including process flows and user requirements.

Guide cross‑functional teams in the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.

In addition, familiarity with UX principles and methodologies would be advantageous in this role.

Strategy

Lead business analysis efforts to support the strategic objectives of our activities.

Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management based on analysis findings.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress towards organisational goals.

Relationship Management

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise business requirements.

Involved in the BA/UX chapter activities such as coordinating practices, contributing to the definition and continuous improvement of shared methodologies, and supporting the development and coaching of team members.

Qualifications Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Business and Management, Design, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience

Experience in business analysis in business computing.

Demonstrated knowledge of common business processes / best practices.

Experience in working in agile product management environments.

Experience with coaching business analysts and specialists in connecting agile roles.

Experience in strategic product initiatives and framing high‑level business initiatives is a nice to have.

Technical competencies

User relationship management: understanding of user behaviour, journeys and pain‑points.

Capturing and analysis of requirements for ICT systems: deep enough technology understanding to translate needs to product requirements.

Process analysis, definition and improvement: change management.

Conceptualising, designing and developing user experiences and interfaces: business computing knowledge in the Finance and HR, Logistics, Supply Chain domain.

Identification and selection of relevant emerging ICT technologies.

Behavioural competencies

Working in the interest of the Organization: focusing on the broader picture; being able to set aside individual or team needs in the interest of the Organization.
