Financial accountant - Trading House, Geneva

Job Description

The Accountant will have responsibility for:

- Book keeping for differents companies of the group

- Booking and request of invoices payment

- Booking of cash transactions and reconciliations of bank balances

- Booking of L/C fees and bank charges in the in-house trading software

- Calculation and booking of intercompany interests

- Monthly intercompany reconciliations, proposing and arranging intercompany settlements

- Reconciliation with clearing-house accounts

- Review and follow-up of overdue invoices

- Analytical review of balance sheet and P&L accounts

- Monthly and year-end closing for various companies

- Financial statements preparation (IFRS, Swiss statutory accounts, management accounts)

- Preparing for and participating in annual audits

Broad accounting scope to deepen skills across multiple entities. Strong exposure to IFRS, Swiss GAAP and full closing processes.

Qualifications

- A background in audit is required for this role.

- 2+ years' experience in similar role in trading business, ideally commodity trading

- Excellent track record in accounting and IFRS standards

- Advanced knowledge of Excel

- Fluent in English
