The Cryogenics (TE-CRG) group, within CERN's Technology Department (TE), is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and produce a prototype detector module for the ALLEGRO ECAL Project. ALLEGRO is a general-purpose detector concept for the future FCC-ee accelerator, featuring a noble-liquid electromagnetic calorimeter as one of its central detectors.As a Mechanical Engineer in the TE-CRG/CL section, you will: Finalise the engineering design studies and carry out thermo-mechanical calculations for the ECAL prototype. Assemble the prototype. Perform quality control and assembly tests to validate the design. Contribute to the final production and assembly of the prototype for testing in a particle beam.You have a professional background in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) and have either:

Master's degree with 2 to 6 years

of post-graduation professional experience; or a

PhD with no more than 3 years

of post-graduation professional experience.

You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
