Credit Risk Officer

to strengthen our credit function and contribute to disciplined, high-quality risk decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough and critical reviews of credit proposals submitted by Front Office

Perform financial analysis of counterparties, including audited and management accounts

Prepare comprehensive credit submissions for internal credit committees

Review annual financial statements and update internal credit risk ratings

Assess transaction structures and ensure timely submission to approval authorities

Monitor ongoing credit exposures, including limits, maturities, and renewals

Ensure completeness and quality of documentation, including security packages; liaise with legal counsel where required

Identify and eliminate key risks, discrepancies, or deterioration in credit quality

Maintain accurate counterparty and transaction records

Draft credit committee minutes and follow-up actions

Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

4–7 years of experience in credit risk, credit review, or credit administration within a bank, preferably in commodity trade finance

Strong experience in analysing financial statements and preparing credit committee materials

Solid understanding of trade finance instruments (LCs, SBLCs, guarantees, pre-export/prepayment financing)

Proven expertise in credit structuring, collateral evaluation, and risk mitigation techniques

Experience in credit monitoring (approvals, renewals, maturities)

Fluency in English required; French is a strong asset

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
