About The Team You Are Joining Part of the Information and Data (I&D) Division, the Data Governance team defines and implements best data practices to make data and analytics accessible, trustworthy, actionable. We maximize the investment in data and analytics initiatives by promoting proper use of analytics in business processes, ensuring accurate insights, reducing security risks, and guiding prioritization so the right information is available at the right time.
Responsibilities
Validate and operate changes to master data records.
Monitor data quality metrics and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with data standards, naming conventions, and business rules.
Apply survivorship and hierarchy rules as defined by governance policies.
Handle data requests (create, update, deactivate records) and collaborate with business units to resolve data conflicts.
Investigate and correct data anomalies and elevate systemic issues to data governance leadership.
Requirements
Postgraduate degree in data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in master data management tools, data quality, or data governance roles, ideally within complex data ecosystems.
Strong understanding of business processes and master data domains (Customer, Product, Vendor).
Analytical skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration and ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, dbt, Talend.
Experience working with data catalog or governance platforms (e.g. Alation, Collibra, Ataccama) is a plus.
Fluency in English; other languages are a plus in IATA's international context.
Travel No travel required.
