Cloud Security Engineer– Contingent Pipeline Opportunity – We’re building a talent pipeline for upcoming U.S. Government defense IT and analytics support roles. Opportunities are contingent upon task order awards and funding under existing contracts. Location

Remote Responsibilities

Implement and maintain cloud security controls in AWS and Azure environments in support of Enhanced Domain Awareness systems. Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2/4/5 security requirements. Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and enforce least-privilege access.Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities across cloud-hosted resources. Monitor cloud environments using SIEM and cloud-native security tools to detect and respond to threats. Support Zero Trust architecture and continuous monitoring initiatives. Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security into the development and deployment lifecycle.Duties and responsibilities may change based on program needs. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field OR five (5) years of equivalent cloud security engineering experience. Experience implementing cloud security frameworks and controls. Hands‑on experience configuring IAM solutions in cloud environments. Experience conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud platforms.Experience with SIEM tools and cloud security monitoring solutions. Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture. Ability to support systems in compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2/4/5. Desired Skills And Experience

Experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, or Intelligence Community environments. Familiarity with DevSecOps and securing CI/CD pipelines. Experience with container and Kubernetes security. Knowledge of automated compliance and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security scanning. Experience with incident response in cloud environments.Certifications

Required: None Preferred: CISSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals Clearance Requirement
