The Role At a Glance As a Senior BI Developer you will lead the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Fabric. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will ensure successful delivery of data warehouse solutions, reporting, and data visualization, turning business needs into actionable data‑driven solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions using Power BI to support business operations and strategic decision‑making.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define metrics, and design and build interactive reports and dashboards.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior BI developers, offering guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and technical issues.
Ensure BI solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and ease of use.
Maintain data governance and security standards to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Lead BI projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
Continuously evaluate and implement new BI tools, techniques, and processes to enhance reporting capabilities.
Monitor and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in existing reports.
Facilitate user testing and provide support to ensure a seamless user experience.
Build data models, metrics, and attributes to support report requests.
Create and optimize complex SQL queries to support BI operations.
Plan and implement changes following the company’s change management process to minimize risk and prevent system disruptions.
What You’ll Bring To The Flock
Proven experience (5+ years) in business intelligence development using Power BI.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with SQL Server.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor BI developers.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, providing updates to managers and senior management.
Flexibility to thrive in an evolving environment.
Knowledge and experience with ERP systems in a CPG company.
Experience with data engineering tasks such as creating processes to bring data into the data lake/warehouse.
