As part of our continued growth, we are currently looking for a new colleague to join us in the role of

Senior Project Manager

at our Swiss headquarter in Dietikon (Zurich). In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in optical engineering to the development of innovative opto-mechatronic systems, making a significant impact on the future of diagnostics and life sciences.

What you can expect: As a

Senior Project Manager

at

Volpi , you can expect to lead multiple projects, manage resources, and engage in strategic planning while ensuring alignment with stakeholders and mentoring team members. Your role will involve overseeing project performance, implementing process improvements, and adapting to changing priorities to achieve company objectives.

Your responsibilities:

Responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and closing of projects with respect to scope, time, and cost

Perform the project management role in a strong matrix organization with a Project Management Office

Most projects will be product development projects, technically sophisticated solutions tailored to customer needs from ideas to serial production. A minor part of the projects will be organizational or infrastructure projects

Create customer value by understanding the requirements and the constraints and bring them together

Support bidding team during quotation process by defining the project management plan covering scope, time and cost based on the stakeholder inputs and according to Volpi’s ISO13485 certified development processes

Execute projects by creating a motivated project team, directing the work, monitoring and controlling the progress, managing risks and changes, and managing stakeholders

Close projects by assuring fulfillment and getting formal acceptance

Continuously improving the project management processes

Who we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in business, science or engineering, Master’s preferred

8+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record in customer-centric delivery

Proven experience in product development projects across Life Sciences, IVD, or medical devices within ISO 13485-regulated environments

Solid technical background in optical metrology, mechatronics, manufacturing processes, and/or biomedical chemistry

Proven record in managing the development of technologically sophisticated solutions and complex systems

Operations, manufacturing and after-sales service knowledge

Sophisticated communication skills, including group presentation, negotiation and influencing

Advanced managerial and leadership skills, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving and program and risk management

Willingness to travel approx. 2-5%
