Material/Formulation Chemist, Brugg

Convenient Location: Our lab is very close to Brugg train station, offering direct connections from Basel and Zürich.

As a material/formulation chemist, you will support R&D efforts by formulating inks, operating custom and off‑the‑shelf laboratory equipment, dealing with performance measurements, and collaborating closely with colleagues across various technical disciplines:

Support Formulation Testing: Assist material researchers with the preparation and evaluation of new inkjet ink formulations

Operate Lab Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and run in‑house testing rigs, inkjet printers, and analytical instruments

Perform Analytical Measurements: Collect and record data (e.g., droplet characteristics, film thickness, rheology, adhesion, hardness) using relevant tools and software

Document and Report: Write clear, concise test reports detailing objectives, procedures, results, and conclusions

Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Work alongside physicists, process engineers, and other technology groups to interpret data

What you bring

Master’s level or Bachelor's with experience in materials/polymer/formulation.

Hands‑on lab experience; capable of independently setting up experiments and troubleshooting equipment.

Basic understanding of inkjet printing processes (experience is a strong advantage)

Knowledge in coatings/inks (experience is a strong advantage)

Strong data interpretation skills; able to draw meaningful conclusions and suggest next steps

Proven ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, managing multiple interfaces and tasks.

Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to produce accurate technical reports.

Highly organized, self‑sufficient, and able to work with minimal supervision
