Field Account Manager East Switzerland, Bern

As a Field Sales Account Manager, you are responsible for driving and expanding sales across Eastern Switzerland as well as selected regions of Austria and Liechtenstein. You independently manage and develop your sales territory, build sustainable customer relationships, and actively identify new business opportunities across the entire BUCHI product portfolio. This is a highly autonomous field sales role for a commercially driven professional who enjoys working closely with customers and delivering measurable results.

What You Will Do

Responsibility for revenue generation and achievement of targets within the assigned sales territory

Identification and development of new customer potential as well as expansion of existing customer relationships

Management of a diverse customer portfolio, including pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and cosmetics industries, quality control laboratories (QC), universities, and research institutes

Planning and conducting customer visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations

Managing the entire sales process from lead generation to closing

Building and maintaining an active sales pipeline through targeted business development and follow-up of leads

Close collaboration with Service Engineers, Product Management, and Sales colleagues

Ensuring high customer satisfaction and building long-term partnerships

Maintaining and updating all activities in the CRM system (Salesforce)

Monitoring market and competitor developments and sharing relevant insights internally

What You Bring

Experience in field sales, account management, or business development, ideally within a technical or scientific environment

Strong sales capabilities and a proven track record in achieving targets

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Independent and structured working style with effective territory management skills

Customer-oriented mindset and ability to build long-term relationships

Fluent German and good basic English skills

High willingness to travel within the region (including Western Austria and Liechtenstein)

Experience in laboratory technology, instrumentation, or related technical industries, or an educational background in chemistry, food technology, life sciences, or a comparable field
