Job Description&Qualification

The Institute for Accounting at the University of Bern invites applications for two postdoctoral positions: one in Financial Accounting and one in Managerial Accounting. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (or be close to completion) in Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field, with outstanding academic achievements. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in research and possess advanced knowledge in either Financial Accounting or Managerial Accounting, along with a solid understanding of either psychological theories or agency theory. Experience with experimental research methods is highly desirable.Candidates should present a promising research plan and demonstrate a strong commitment to producing high-quality research. The salary will be determined according to the applicant's qualifications in accordance with the regulations of the University of Bern. The starting date is planned to be at the beginning of the academic year 2026/27 with some flexibility to consider individual circumstances.
