Clinical Program Leader (Radioligand therapy (RLT), Basel

This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients. Based on our understanding of cancer at the molecular, cellular and organismal levels, Translational Clinical Oncology (TCO) will design and execute innovative exploratory clinical trials in order to develop the next generation of highly effective therapeutics that transform the lives of patients with cancer. This role provides strategic medical guidance and leads the development of experimental oncology agents in the TCO portfolio, from pre‑clinical development through Phase I/II studies.

Responsibilities

Acts as a clinical leader responsible for assigned global clinical program(s)– driving medical strategy implementation and operational deliverables for investigational products in a defined therapeutic area.

Ensure effective cross‑functional communications to align with global strategy and lead the development of clinical sections of trial and program‑level regulatory documents.

Acts as the medical expert, engaging interactions with external stakeholders (regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, data monitoring committees, advisory boards, etc.) and internal Novartis stakeholders.

Contributes to medical/scientific training of relevant Novartis stakeholders; may serve as a speaker for medical/scientific training or lead global initiatives such as process improvement, training, SOP development, or other Clinical Development line function initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience leading early or late‑phase oncology clinical programs with radiopharmaceuticals from the pharma/biotech industry plus credible experience from an academic medical center. If lacking industry experience, significant academic experience in radiation oncology with credible PI/co‑PI clinical study leadership is required.

Track record of significant contributions to the field over time, creating new concepts and seeking out novel clinical discovery opportunities or approaches.
