Basel , We are currently looking for a:
Spectroscopy Innovation Scientist on a
24-month contract , with possibilities of extension.
We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist to support our global pharmaceutical intelligence and anti‑falsified medicines strategy. In this role, you will evaluate and advance analytical technologies, primarily the Labscanner Plus, within the Authentifield framework to strengthen our fight against pharmaceutical crime and enhance patient safety.
Main responsibilities:
Assess the performance and potential use of the Labscanner Plus and Authentifield technologies for liquid testing.
Collaborate with stake‑holders to implement Labscanner Plus and the Authentifield liquid application.
Develop and implement experimental protocols to test and validate the Labscanner Plus and Authentifield technologies related to liquid testing.
Analyze experimental data using Python to derive meaningful insights and conclusions.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including IT, quality, and regulatory affairs, to ensure comprehensive evaluation and integration of new technologies.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on experimental findings and technology assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU‑Citizenship required.
At least a Master’s Degree or PhD in chemistry, physics, engineering, or related field.
Experience in analytical chemistry and data analysis.
Familiarity with liquid applications with Near Infrared spectroscopy is a plus.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, and experience with experimental design and statistical analysis.
Experience with system integration and project management.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical supply chains is a plus.
Familiarity with falsified medicines detection technologies and methodologies.
