Job Description Summary

The Senior Engineer– Steam Turbine Product Service will lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and potentially high impact to the PS business. The engineer will work across cross‑functional teams and customers to provide innovative, cost‑effective solutions to steam turbine related issues, ensuring safeand reliable equipment operation that meets customer and business needs. The role includes supporting engineering request workstreams, occasional root‑cause analysis investigations, and corrective action planning as fleet findings dictate.Roles and Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer will: Lead the execution of high‑impact projects and initiatives, acting as an expert in a specialized field. Own technical resolution for multiple complex steam turbine issues, mentoring and training others in their areas of expertise. Act as a conduit and proactively facilitate cross‑functional collaboration among engineering, commercial, manufacturing, suppliers, and other teams to develop and implement technical solutions.Provide leadership at technical conferences and other customer‑facing events. Lead cross‑functional teams in root‑cause analysis of GE equipment non‑conformances and initiatives to improve starting reliability, availability, and trip reduction. Provide technical support for new unit installation/startup and outage work scopes, including ER support for critical issues.Author, coach, and mentor others in creating internal and external communications (TILS, ETC, customer presentations) to guide major issue resolution. Communicate fleet and product issues into the NPI process and throughout all levels of GE leadership to identify new opportunities and drive development of effective offerings.Engage in global product service meetings to grow personal and team expertise. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or steam turbine on‑job training in field installation/maintenance. Desired Characteristics

Master of Science in Engineering or related field. Demonstrated expertise in steam turbine design, installation and/or maintenance. Self‑starter with initiative and interpersonal skills to direct cross‑functional projects to completion. Strong team‑building and relationship‑building skills.Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management abilities. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of an organization and pursue correct engineering actions under adverse conditions. Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $113,200– $151,000 – $188,800 USD annually. Eligible for a 15% performance bonus and a geographic differential of 110–130% in certain areas.
